For those that may be concerned, we have not set this time aside to have a “drinking” party, though we feel that some people will drinking.
The M & G is intended to provide us with some additional time to speak with each other. Our reunion may not be unique, in that we are inviting other classes (72’, 73’, 75’, and 76’) to join us.

Since it is being held in a public area of the Westin, there is no charge. However, be prepared to pay for the food and/or drinks that you may order. The Westin’s prices are relatively high, so some of us may want to eat before we come.
Some of us may want to order food, etc, so we will try to set-up near the main level bar.
Depending upon the size of our group and the number of hotel guests that may be there, we may need to move further away.
We have been told that less people attend the M & G than the traditional reunion, though we may be able to increase our numbers for the M & G.
Also, you will miss out on the food, music, decorations, atmosphere, additional social time, etc. that come with a traditional reunion. Also, the 50th Year Reunion is said to be much more enjoyable than the earlier ones.
The more, the merrier.
Please call your friends from our class and the other classes, and encourage them to come.
Also, please ask the people from the other classes to spread the word to their class members.
We would like to have anyone that was once a part of our class to attend. We are making no distinction as to why they may not have finished with us.

Our reunion starts at 5:00 p.m. and the Westin will begin serving heavy hors devours at 6:00.
We have been told that they will close the serving line around 7:00 or 7:30, depending upon how quickly we go through the food or how long it lasts (or stays good) in the food warmers. A non-alcoholic drink with be provided with your meal.
A cash bar will be available, but the prices may be high. We believe our group will drink, modestly, but some may not.

We should be able to finish our conversations, etc in the public areas of the Hotel.
The Westin closes its bars at 11:00, or as late as 12:00, if there is a city-wide event. Their rooftop bar is too small for a large group, but it is especially nice. You may want to check it out before everything gets started.
There are a few restaurants and bars nearby, and others that are a little further away
Currently, you can only receive a discounted rate by calling for a reservation. Please ask either hotel for a guest room that has been blocked off for the S-D Reunion.
Please ask for the discount. They may lower their price to get your business.
Also, please let us know that all of the discounted rooms have been taken. The committee may be able to have some additional rooms blocked off for us at the discounted rate.
The Hotel Indigo is on the same side of the street as the Westin and it is approximately 1 1/2 blocks away.
